We built things from scratch.

Before we ever worked with a client, we were the client. We built companies from the ground up — service businesses, product businesses, businesses that grew and businesses that taught us hard lessons. We know what it feels like to put everything into something and then wonder why the right people aren't finding it.

Over more than 17 years, we've built and operated multiple companies across different industries. We've hired teams, managed cash flow, navigated pivots, and made every mistake that founders make — including trusting the wrong marketing partners.

That experience is not a footnote on our About page. It is the foundation of everything we do.

We weren't looking for someone to run campaigns. We were looking for someone who understood the business first. Someone who could see what we were building and help us communicate it in a way that actually moved people.

We never found that. So we built it.

Why LAB Ninety9 exists.

We believe that most marketing fails not because of poor execution, but because of poor understanding. Campaigns launch before the offer is clear. Content gets published before the customer is truly known. Ads run before anyone has asked: what does this business actually stand for, and why should someone choose it over everything else?

Story is not a branding exercise. It is not a tagline or a mission statement. It is the honest answer to the question every potential customer is silently asking: why should I trust you?

When story is clear, everything else becomes easier. The right customers recognize themselves in it. The wrong ones self-select out. The offer makes sense without explanation. The marketing doesn't have to work as hard — because it's saying something true.

Ninety9 is a nod to the 99 attempts that come before the breakthrough. The businesses we admire most weren't built on the first try. They were built on persistence, on learning, on the willingness to keep going when the obvious path didn't work.

Together, the name captures something we believe deeply: growth is earned through disciplined experimentation, not wishful thinking.
